Comedy podcasts give audiences some time to enjoy themselves since the beginning of the pandemic. Although this is already an established category, the initial lockdown back in 2020 gave audiences an atmosphere where they literally "feel like they're sitting down talking to their friends."

In the last EncuestaPod of 2022, carried out by our colleagues from Podcaster@s, the theme of Humor and Comedy was the most listened to by the people surveyed, which include countries such as Colombia, Peru, Spain, Argentina, and Mexico.

In Chile, for example, more than 89K hours of comedy content are consumed every day. The comedy genre has increased by an average of 842% year over year since 2017, according to official data from Spotify. Some projects that consistently top the charts in Mexico are La Cotorrisa and Leyendas Legendarias.
